Divorce Through a Child’s Eyes

Today’s New York Times has a great review of a new novel from first-time novelist Zulema Renee Summerfield, “Every Other Weekend.”  The novel tells the story of a divorce through a child’s eyes and, according to the review is “gut-wrenching” and realistic.  The child, 8-year-old Nenny is mature enough not to pine for her parents reunion; rather, she yearns for “a clear way through the split and into a new life. What she wants, in her precocious way, is not a return to normalcy, but a modicum of predictability.”
