Kurt Cobain’s Daughter Loses Father’s “Unplugged” Guitar in Divorce

In her divorce from Isaiah Silva, Frances Bean Cobain agreed to give up the iconic acoustic guitar that her father Kurt Cobain played during the MTV Unplugged recordings.  Silva claimed it was a wedding gift from Frances.  Courtney Love had called the 1959 Martin D-18E guitar a “priceless heirloom.”   The battle over the guitar has been raging for two years following the original divorce filing.

FYI – the ratty cardigan he wore during the performance sold at auction for $137,000.
