Tell me about your firm and practice?
My partner and I started Fields and Dennis, LLP in early 2004, primarily as a family and Trusts and Estates practice. In the nearly 20 years since, we have grown our Firm to include business/corporate law, real estate and employment law. At the heart of our practice, we serve our clients with domestic relations matters, probate, and estate planning. This side of the business grows continuously, and we have found we are serving generations of clients as a result.
What are common issues you see arise when an estate plan is not in place?
Fighting amongst heirs. Depending on the size of the estate, the fighting can be very intense and issues, slights, hurt feelings, etc. from childhood tend to come to the forefront making it difficult to resolve. Read more
