An Upper East Side shipping magnate tried to shortchange his wife in their scorched-earth divorce battle by lying that his father-in-law hired a hit man to kill him, the woman alleges in new court papers.
“In my wildest dreams, I could never have imagined the lengths he would go to and the lies he would tell in order to keep his assets hidden,” socialite Ronit Mitnik says in the filing, referring to estranged husband Oleg Mitnik.
Ronit’s father, Anatoly Potik, had been charged with the supposed murder-for-hire in 2016. But the feds dropped the charges.
