If you shop around for an attorney in metropolitan Boston, you will notice that the hourly rates at Fields and Dennis, LLP are significantly below those of our peers. We are able to do this because we have managed our size and overhead very closely in order to give the client the highest quality service at rates that, in today's market, are reasonable. Rates are subject to change on January 1 of each year.

The rates effective January 1, 2008 follow:

Jonathan E. Fields	$300 / hour
Sheryl J. Dennis	$300 / hour
Hugh F. Ferguson	$300 / hour

We do not charge for in-house convenience copying, incoming and outgoing faxes, first class domestic mail postage and, in most cases, the telephone company's charge for domestic phone calls. At many firms, these items are often unpleasant surprises for which you never thought you were getting billed. At Fields and Dennis, LLP, we absorb all of these costs.

These hourly rates do not apply to estate planning (wills, trusts, etc). On those matters, we charge a flat rate depending on the individual case. Of course, the client will know the cost of the estate planning work prior to our beginning the work.
